1Insurance is a separate wager
Insurance is normally offered when the dealer shows an Ace and settles against the dealer's hole-card result. It does not protect the whole hand in every scenario, and the displayed side-wager payout should be read before accepting.
2Surrender depends on timing
Early and late surrender are not interchangeable. Many tables offer neither. Confirm when the control appears, how much of the original stake returns and whether dealer blackjack is checked first.
3Pair splitting creates two hands
A split requires another stake and produces separate hands. Read whether unlike ten-value cards can split, how many resplits are allowed and what restrictions apply to split Aces.
4Doubling rules can change after a split
Some games permit double after split while others restrict totals or split hands. These variations change the possible total stake, so the complete table rule set matters more than the game title.
5Dealer soft-17 and blackjack payout matter
Check whether the dealer hits or stands on soft 17 and whether a natural blackjack pays the stated premium or even money. Use the live information panel; do not infer rules from the table artwork.
